The programme is structured around eight sub-projects (see the left menu).

In addition to the individual publications planned within each sub-project, three volumes will be produced jointly, each covering one of the three linguistic traditions. In a series of newly written chapters the participants of the programme will draw on their previous research to provide a broad synthetic narrative of the development, in each of the three linguistic traditions, of a number of theories of sense-perception and conceptualization inspired by Aristotle’s works. These theories will be considered in their historical context, but also continually discussed in relation to current concerns in cognitive science and the philosophy of mind. Important texts will be critically edited and translated, in many cases for the first time.

Six directors have been appointed among the participants to ensure coordination among the sub-projects with a view to the common scope of the programme and the co-authored volumes. For descriptions of these six sections of the programme, see the left menu.
