Mora Márquez among the Wallenberg Academy Fellows

News: Dec 04, 2015

Ana María Mora Márquez, member of the Representation and Reality research group, is among the Wallenberg Academy Fellows 2015.

The prestigious grant Wallenberg Academy Fellow will enable Ana María Mora Márquez to build a research environment of her own but in continued close collaboration with the Representation and Reality research programme at University of Gothenburg.

In her new research project, Mora Márquez will challenge the statement made by many philosophers and logicians: that Aristotle put forth the picture of an ideal language that is to be interpreted literally. In order to do so, she will study Aristotle’s Topics and also analyze how medieval thinkers interpreted this treatise on dialectical argumentation.
